Though AWA at UCLA is one community, we are made up of 3 partner organizations, each with its own unique focus. AWA members are encouraged to join a partner if they are looking to take their interests to the next level and take a more active role in their projects/initiatives.

Focus: Animal Liberation

Our mission is to raise awareness of and fight for the right to life and freedom for all animals, on campus and beyond.

From large mammals to tiny insects, from factory farms to laboratories, BOS is a voice for all animals.

Focus: Local Vegan Community

Lives Without Knives is a youth-led social enterprise aiming to simplify, advocate, and implement a plant-based, sustainable lifestyle.

To achieve this vision, LWK focuses on embracing partnerships with local vegan businesses, holding collaborative events, challenges, and webinars.

Focus: Professional Development

Plant Futures Initiative equips young professionals at UCLA with pathways into a plant--centric future through career networking, professional development, and community building.
